FAQ

Before you book

Can anyone learn kitesurfing?

Yes. You don't need any special fitness or previous experience in wind sports. What matters is being able to swim and wanting to learn. You can start from age 12; there is no upper age limit.

How long does it take to ride on your own?

With normal wind conditions in Tarifa, most students ride independently after 3 to 5 days of lessons. The Full Package (9 h) is designed to get you exactly to that point.

Can you learn kitesurfing in winter?

Yes. In winter the water in Tarifa is around 15–16 °C and the wind blows consistently. With the right wetsuit (which we provide) it's a great experience. We answer on WhatsApp all year round; the school and shop opening hours depend on the season and wind conditions.

What should I bring on the day?

Bring water, swimwear, a towel, sunglasses and SPF 50 sunscreen. All the technical gear (kite, board, harness, impact vest, helmet, wetsuit and gloves) is included in the price.

Is insurance included?

Yes. All our lessons include liability and accident insurance, plus the rescue boat during the whole lesson.

Where do we meet on the first day?

At our shop: C/ Coronel Francisco Valdés 10, 11380 Tarifa. From there we go together to the lesson area with all the gear. We'll confirm the exact meeting point when you book.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes, especially in summer and at Easter, when we recommend booking at least a week ahead. Outside high season we usually have availability within 24–48 h. Message us on WhatsApp to confirm a slot.
